Message from the President
Updated: Jun 10, 2021
Dear COSSA Members,
Sun-Burn Season: Finally, it’s warm outside!! Unfortunately, this also means the start of what looks like a crazy fire season. Please, please follow the rules.
Who was that Masked Shooter? Now for some good news: the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) has deemed the wearing of masks outside completely unnecessary. This means we’re going to look pretty normal at the range. If you are indoors, the OHA says vaccinated folks are good to go without masks too. The bottom line: We’re moving past this damned pandemic. Of course, if you are concerned about your health, or affecting someone else’s health, follow your best judgment.
COSSA Needs Some Help: Towards the end of June, we’re going to begin a review of the Club’s finances. We would love to have a member or two with some background in finances be a part of the review. If you are interested, please contact me at president@cossapark.com. This will count towards work hours for whoever helps us. You can also call me at 541-233-8009 for more details.
New Projects for the Range: We’re meeting with the BLM folks in mid-June. The outcome will mean some great improvements at the range. Since we’re a bunch of volunteers, we will be calling on our able members to make these things happen.

The Great Outdoors: Lady Hawks Hone Their Skills at the COSSA Park
“Updated: Jul 10, 2019
It is one of the many disciplines at the Central Oregon Shooting Sports Association Park east of Bend, and it’s just for females. Women of all ages and experience levels are welcome. For this week’s Great Outdoors, Gary Lewis introduces us to some of the members of the Lady Hawks.
A special thanks to our Great Outdoors sponsor, Parr Lumber, for giving us the time and resources to explore the lakes, rivers and mountains across our beautiful state every Wednesday night on Central Oregon Daily.”
